Founded in 2019, the Atlanta MadHatters Youth Hockey Program has quickly become one of the leading developmental hockey organizations in the Southeast. Based at the Atlanta Ice House in Marietta, GA, we are proud to offer a complete hockey pathway for all ages and skill levels, from Learn to Skate and Cross-Ice to competitive A and AA Travel teams for players U8 through U18.

Our mission is to provide every athlete with an opportunity to experience the excitement, discipline, and teamwork that hockey brings, while fostering personal growth both on and off the ice. We believe that great hockey players are built not only through skill and effort, but also through character, integrity, and respect.

At the core of our program is a player-first philosophy focused on long-term athletic development. All House League players train under USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM), which emphasizes proper progression, age-appropriate skills, and a balanced approach to physical and mental growth. Our structured curriculum ensures that every athlete develops confidence, strength, and a lifelong love for the game, regardless of starting point or experience.

For those seeking a more advanced competitive experience, our Travel Program offers players the opportunity to take their game to the next level. Under the guidance of a professional coaching staff: including former NHL players and elite instructors, our teams compete across the Southeast and beyond. We focus on skill-based instruction, advanced hockey IQ, and team culture, preparing our players to excel in both high-level youth competition and future hockey opportunities.

Above all, the MadHatters organization is about community, mentorship, and passion for the sport. We take pride in helping each player reach their full potential, not only as athletes, but as individuals who carry the values of hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship wherever life takes them.

The Atlanta MadHatters – where development meets opportunity, and hockey becomes family.
